NEARLY 2,000 children turned out to enjoy free fun at the return of the popular VPX event at Bank Park, Warrington.

The first of four events on Wednesdays in August returned on Bank Park next to the town hall.

Organised by town centre community police officer Tony Spruce in conjunction with Warrington Youth Zone, the event was a huge success.
Tony said: “What an amazing day we had at VPX.
“Over 1900 children attended and loads more big kids! A huge thank you to all the providers and to every single person that attended. A special mention to our police cadets who worked their socks off as did everyone else.
“VPX is back next Wednesday in Warrington town centre at Golden Square, when all the rides in Old Market Place will be completey FREE. Thanks to Golden square for doing this. We will also have stands around Golden Square and Time Square with all our other activities.”
