TWO sisters from Warrington have embarked on a sponsored walk during their school holidays to raise funds for the Shannon Bradshaw Trust.
Sienna and Sophia Challinor are bidding to walk 2 km every day during their school holidays, raising money for the charity set up in memory of local youngster Shannon Bradshaw, who sadly died aged seven, five months after being diagnosed with the life-threatening condition Aplastic Anaemia.
Proud mum Sarah Challinor said: “Our daughters Sienna (age 9) and Sophia (age 6) would like to spend their summer holidays helping others. In previous years, they have helped the Warrington food bank, but this year they have decided to help a different charity.
“After researching local Warrington charities, they have selected the Shannon Bradshaw Trust to help this summer. The girls and I were touched by how the Bradshaw family have set up and helped so many people since their own tragic family loss.
“The girls ( and l) will be attempting to walk 2k every day throughout the school summer holidays and hoping that people will help them by donating towards this amazing charity. Below is a link to the website showing some of the amazing work that they do in helping local families in Warrington.”
The Shannon Bradshaw Trust raises money for the relief and care of children, young people and their families, living with life-threatening conditions, by the provision of support, equipment or services.
