SIX friends have completed a gruelling cycling challenge along Portugal’s Algarve, raising thousands of pounds in memory of much-loved Latchford local Mike Fogg, who sadly died from stomach cancer earlier this year.
So far their efforts from an incredible 265 km ride from Lisbon to Vilamoura, have raised around £17,000 for St Rocco’s Hospice, with funds still coming in.

Carl Palmer (Urban Building Projects), Darrel Graham (Smithfield’s), and friends Norman, Ally, Ste and Guy have just completed their incredible journey in memory of Mike, who spent his final 10 days under the outstanding care of St Rocco’s. His wife, Irene Fogg, also passed away there 16 years ago, in the room next door.
Mike Fogg was a well-known local in Latchford and a regular at Pierpoints Pub.
