UPDATED: POLICE have released new CCTV images of a man they are looking to trace following reports of concerns for the safety of a person in Burtonwood, Warrington on Friday night.
At 10.30pm on Friday 11 July, police were called to reports of a man banging on windows on Mercer Street, Burtonwood, and shouting for help.
Officers attended the scene, but on arrival there was no trace of the man. He is believed to have fled towards Gorsey Lane.
The man was described as a white and of slim build, at the time of the incident he was topless and wearing dark trousers.
Enquiries to locate him have been ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone with any information which may aid their investigation. An appeal was launched over the weekend with a blurred image which has now been updated.
Detective Constable Philip Jackson, of Warrington CID, said:“Enquiries in relation to this incident have been ongoing and we’re keen to locate the man in the CCTV to ensure that he is safe and well.
“I’d ask anyone who recognises the man, or anyone with any information in relation to the incident, to contact the team here at Warrington.
“I would also like to appeal directly to the man in the CCTV image to ask him to get in touch so we can ensure you’re OK.”
