LOCAL Lib Dems have announced David Crowther as the Liberal Democrat candidate for the Bewsey and Whitecross by- election on July 31st 2025, which was triggered by the resignation of a sitting councillor.
He lives in the ward and after serving as a councillor in St Helens for twelve years, David remains very interested in politics and its role in improving services for people and helping to improve their lives. He has been the Chair of Governors of a Special School for twenty-two years.
As a dog owner, David is out and about a great deal in the ward and has got to know lots of the issues facing residents this way. David says: “If I am elected as your Councillor, I will work hard for the community and always be available to listen to your views and ideas.”
David is particularly interested in fair access to health, care and social services and will be pressing for investment in the local hospital. His other priorities are value for money services from the council and protecting the local environment.
