FIREFIGHTERS helped rescue a blind and deaf 17-year-old Papillion dog that became stuck between two houses in Warrington over the Bank Holiday weekend.

A fire crew from Stockton Heath used a rescue pole to help release the trapped animal named Merlot and re-unite him with his relieved and grateful owners after he had managed to get himself stuck in a narrow gap between two houses.
