A one-week road closure is set to come into force at Burtonwood next month (September) while Scottish power carries out electrical installation works.

Warrington Borough Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Tan House Lane from its junction with Burtonwood Road to its junction with Farmers Lane.

The Order will be effective from 5th September 2022 for 1 week, as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Burtonwood Road, Clay Lane, Chapel Lane and vice versa. The closure is required to allow Scottish Power to carry out electrical installation works.
