Family's tribute to fun loving fellow

THE family of Warrington murder victim Carl Chadwick have issued a moving tribute to a “fun loving fellow.”
Known to many friends as “Dancing Carl” because he liked nothing more than dancing and enjoying himself, the 40-year-old (pictured) was found dead at his home in Grasmere Avenue, Orford at the weekend.
Some years ago he survived a fall down four floors of an apartment block while on a family holiday but suffered a serious head injury which left him vulnerable.
In a statement, the family said: “Carl was very kind and loving and wouldn’t hurt a living thing – the little boy that never grew up inside. Just his outside appearance matured.
“We shall still think of Carl as a little boy with his fishing rod in one hand and bucket in the other. He always looked a little lost since he lost his mother when he was just seven years old.
“Carl, we are so, so sad to have you taken from us in such a tragic and violent way. We can only hope whoever did this evil deed will be caught and brought to justice for picking on such a helpless and vulnerable young fellow. Keep dancing up in Heaven as no one can hurt you anymore.
“We will always love you and will see you again when it’s our time.”
Mr Chadwick’s body was found at his home at around 1pm on Saturday, January 29.
Detectives are appealing for information from the local community. A 32-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman had been arrested on suspicion of murder but then released on bail pending further investigation.
A post mortem concluded Mr Chadwick died as a result of strangulation and a stab wound and it is thought his death may have taken place a number of days before his body was discovered.
Police are anxious to piece together his movements, in particular during the past two weeks leading up to his death.

  1. Why of why 🙁 I cried when I read that and I don’t even know Mr Chadwick. Yet another tragic and needless end to a life and all for what? My heart goes out to his family and friends and also to him. I hope that whoever did this is found quickly. A life sentence for murder will not ease the pain of his family and friends though nor will it bring this gentleman back. The person/people who did this should not be allowed to walk the earth !
