WARRINGTON’S free pre-Christmas park and ride bus service resumes this weekend.
The services, from Wilderspool Park in the south and Warrington Collegiate in the north, will start at 9.30am on Saturday.
Buses will run every eight minutes to the main bus interchange in the town centre every Saturday until December 18.
The last buses will run at 6pm.
Coun Alan Litton, the borough council’s executive member for environment and transport, said: “I am very pleased that we are able to offer this free service and hope that people will take advantage of this scheme and in doing so will ease the town centre congestion during peak times whilst helping the environment at the same time.”
More information about the park and ride service and other seasonal activities, etc, in Warrington, can be found on purple Christmas leaflets to be found in and around the town centre.
