Warrington records highest number of new COVID-19 cases since start of pandemic with 312

WHILE no further deaths have been reported, the highest number of new COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic have been confirmed in Warrington, at 312, with hospital inpatient numbers also rising again.

A total of 312 (232) new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Warrington by the UK Health Security Agency, taking the total number of cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 42,483 (42,171).

The previous highest number was 309 on January 2nd this year.

Infection rates have risen again to 1,580 (1,443) – 754.5 (689.1) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period which remains below the national average of 777.6 (716.1) per 100,000, which have risen again.

While no further deaths have been reported at the hospital, inpatient numbers have risen from 28-31 including six in ICU, while three patients were discharged.
