Christmas Tree festival returns at Lymm

THE Christmas Tree festival at Lymm’s St Mary’s Church is back – better than ever.

It was cancelled last year because of the COVID pandemic – leaving many local people disappointed.
But it will be back on Friday, December 3 at 4pm with 45 trees on display. Admission is free.
The church will be open from 10am to 4pm that day with children from local primary schools singing Christmas songs.
On Saturday December 4 the church will be open from 10.30am to 5pm with a variety of activities:
10.30 am: Simley Tunes choir; 12.00 noon: Lymm Golf Club Ladies Ukulele band; 1.30pm: Rock Choir Knutsford and 3.00pm St Mary’s Children’s Choir.
On the Sunday at 10.00am the family Advent Service with free chocolate angels for children will be held and the Christmas Tree Festivalwill openfrom 11.00am – 4.00pm with more entertainment from Lymm and District Chorus at 1.30pm
Refreshments (tea coffee sandwiches and cake) and a range of craft items and homemade produce will be on sale every day. The popular mouse hunt is also back with a prize for everyone who finds where the sugar mice are hidden in the Christmas tree displays
Rector the Rev Bev Jameson, said: “Many people were disappointed when we had to cancel the Christmas Tree Festival last year so we are all looking forward to seeing you all at St Mary’s for the Christmas Tree Festival this year. I am a member of Rock Choir so it is a delight that I will be singing with them on Saturday.”
