Latest COVID-19 data from Warrington Hospital as two more deaths confirmed

TWO more COVID-19 related deaths have sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital over the weekend, although inpatient numbers have fallen, while infection rates have increased again in the town.

The 124 (100) new cases reported by Public Health England, take the total number of cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 37,263 (37,139).

But infection rates in Warrington have risen for a second consecutive day to 809 (769) – 386.3 (367.2) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period but remain below the national average of 422.7 (418.3) per 100,000, which have increased again.

While two more patients have died at the hospital over the weekend, inpatient numbers have fallen to 10, with none in ICU, while seven patients were discharged.
