Road closure at Winwick to allow Network Rail to clear vegetation from bridge structure

A Winwick road will be closed on Wednesday to allow Network Rail to carry out vegetation clearance to a bridge structure.

Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Alder Root Lane from its junction with Alder Lane to the borough boundary with St Helens.



The Order will be effective on Wednesday, 20th October between 8:00am and 5:00pm, when signed on site.
Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Alder Lane, Hollins Lane, Newton Road, Winwick Road, Mill Lane, Church Street, High Street, Crow Lane East and vice versa or via Alder Lane, Fir Tree Lane, Lumber Lane, Collins Green Lane, Penkford Lane, Pennington Lane, Common Road, Crow Lane West, Crow Lane East and vice versa. The closure is required to allow Network Rail to carry out vegetation clearance to the bridge structure.
