Police launch appeal for witnesses following fatal collision near Lymm

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision at Agden near Lymm, which sadly resulted in the death of a 64-year-old man.

At 3.14pm yesterday, Wednesday 29 September emergency services were called to a collision on the A56 Lymm Road in Agden, involving a Mercedes Sprinter box van and a Ford Transit Connect van.



The driver of the transit van, a 64-year-old man from Runcorn, sadly died at the scene. The driver of the box van is believed to have sustained minor injuries.
Sgt Andy Dennison said: “We are currently investigating the circumstances of the collision and would appeal to anyone who witnessed it and has not yet spoken to police to contact us. If you have dashcam footage I would also ask you to contact us.”
