Prisoner who went on the run from Thorn Cross Prison located

UPDATED: A prisoner who absconded from Thorn Cross Prison at Appleton Thorn, Warrington, last Friday has been located.

Daniel Green aged 34, was last seen at HMP Thorn Cross in Appleton on the morning of Friday 4 June but was located earlier today and taken back into custody.

The 34-year-old absconded from HMP Thorn Cross last Friday morning and the police helicopter was launched as part of the search.
He was the sixth inmate to abscond in recent months, sparking a call from Warrington South MP Andy Carter for security to improved at the “open prison.”
