TWO residents of a Warrington care home have got engaged four years after first meeting.

Adam, 29, from Warrington and Tamsyn, 37, originally from South Africa, both live at Warrington Community Living’s residential home for peole with learning and physical disabilities in Twiss Green Lane, Culcheth.

They first met at another care home where Tamsyn used to live and where Adam used to visit for respite – and they immediately clicked.
In March 2018 Tamsyn moved to Twiss Green Lane and the couple lost touch. But they met again the following year when Adam was looking for somewhere new and went to Twiss Green Lane for a trial.
Adam said: “I had a two-week trial period to see if I liked it. Because I had only ever lived at my Dad’s, who I love very much, I wanted to get a feel for the place,
“When the two weeks came to an end and I was due to return home, I chose not to – and the rest is history!”
Tamsyn added: “As soon as Adam saw that that I lived at Twiss, he didn’t want to leave!”
Since then, their relationship has blossomed into romance – though Tamsyn and Adam both confessed they knew they loved one another the moment they first met.
Tamsyn said Adam makes her feel “happy and smiley” and is “such a gentleman.”
Adam said: “Tamsyn always looks so beautiful. I always feel happy when I’m around her. ”
The team at Twiss Green Lane supported their decision to become boyfriend and girlfriend and set up date nights and trips out so they could spend time together.
When Adam proposed, Tamsyn was overjoyed. She said: ” had tears in my eyes, I didn’t expect it!”
The pair now plan to tie the knot later this year. They are looking forward to their future together as a married couple and making lots of wonderful memories together.
