POLICE have been kept busy during half-term lockdown dealing with anti-social youths across Warrington breaching COVID-19 regulations.
In Great Sankey North officers disturbed a group of young males who had set up camp in Lingley Woods. As well as causing damage to the trees they also left litter in the area. The males all ran off before details could be obtained but this area will now regularly be checked.
Meanwhile, Whittle Hall police received a number of messages regarding youths gathering in certain locations on Chapelford and smoking what is believed to be cannabis. Local officers are visiting these locations during their shifts and positive action will be taken against those committing any offences.
Over in Lymm officers were called to Lymm Rugby club after more reports of youths playing football on the rugby pitches. The youths ran from staff on-site prior to police arriving.
At nearby Lymm High School a group of teens were playing football on the 3G pitches. The group all dispersed when police arrived and patrols will continue in the area.
In Poulton North police are also stepping up patrols following reports of youths causing a nuisance on off-road bikes on Valiant Close, Vulcan Close, Harrier Road, Blenheim Close, Westland Drive, Lysander Drive, Padgate Brook and The Falstaff Pub.

This is not good enough. Everywhere the youths run off and the police can’t catch them. They should be tracked down and given some meaningful punishment
