1

POLICE were called out following a report of intruders on-site at Fiddlers Ferry Power Station last night.

Assisted by a Drone Unit a thorough search of the area was carried out from the air by Drone Pilots as well as officers on the ground.
Although no persons were found during the search on this occasion, police identified where they had been and what they had been up to.
They have also identified further lines of inquiry that they will be following up in due course.
Following previous intruder issues officers recently completed a safety induction and had a full tour of the site following concerns that although the site is due to be decommissioned, it is still very much alive.
The site still has major components running.
