Former Lymm lorry driver publishes debut crime thriller

Rob Coleman, a former HGV driver from Lymm, has published his debut crime thriller, The Sexton: The Man in the Mountain. It is the first book in a planned series and is out now on Amazon Kindle.

Rob has been a driver of one sort or another for 38 years, 15 of them behind the wheel of an HGV. As he approaches retirement, he has turned to something new.
“Driving is a good pays-the-bills kind of job, but it isn’t stimulating or creative,” says Rob. “I wanted to do something creative, and now that I’m approaching retirement, I thought: what have I got to lose?”
The Sexton opens with an impossible escape. Hours after crime boss Corrado Lanza is sentenced to life, he vanishes from the Colle Nero prison. He goes through a tunnel nobody heard being dug, past a cordon that turned its back. Only a handful of people know who was behind it: the Sexton, an unseen fixer who runs his operations from somewhere deep inside a mountain, speaks only through a screen, and has never failed.
Inspector Chiara Bassani, who lost two officers on the night of the escape, has sworn to find him. But a polite Englishman with a long memory has found him first.

Readers can download the first three chapters free at robcolemanauthor.wixsite.com/thesexton. Anyone who signs up there will also hear first about a free-ebook offer coming in a few weeks.
