BUSINESS owners and retailers from across Warrington are being invited to attend the Warrington Conservative Business Forum at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Wednesday, 30 September 2026.
The forum will give local businesses an opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing Warrington, share their experiences and put forward practical ideas to support economic growth, attract investment and revitalise the town centre.
The event will be attended by Ben Fletcher, the Conservative candidate for Mayor of Cheshire and Warrington in the 2027 mayoral election.
Ben’s senior career in high-street retail will bring valuable commercial experience to the discussion and a first-hand understanding of the challenges facing retailers, town centres and local employers.
Cllr John Roddy, Deputy Leader of the Warrington Conservative Group and one of the forum’s organisers, said: “Warrington has a strong and diverse business community, but too often decisions affecting our local economy are taken without properly listening to the people who create employment, invest in our town and keep our high streets alive.
“The Conservative Business Forum is about bringing business owners, retailers and decision-makers together for an open and constructive conversation. We want to hear what is working, what is holding businesses back and what needs to change if Warrington is to fulfil its economic potential.
“Ben Fletcher’s considerable experience at a senior level within high-street retail means he understands the commercial realities facing businesses and the pressures affecting our town centres.
“I am delighted that Ben will be joining us. This will give Warrington businesses an early opportunity to speak directly to him and help shape the economic priorities of the new Cheshire and Warrington mayoral authority.”
The forum is open to businesses of every size and sector, including independent retailers, established employers, entrepreneurs and those considering investing in Warrington.
Attendance is free, although advance registration is required.
