Detectives are appealing for witnesses and video footage following a burglary at a residential address in Warrington.
Sometime between 2am and 5am on Tuesday 28 July, unknown offenders forced entry to a property on Lawson Close in Woolston after snapping the locks on a rear door.
Once inside, the offenders carried out an untidy search of the address. It is believed they were searching for keys to vehicles parked outside the property.
The offenders then left the scene empty-handed.
Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and as part of the investigation officers are appealing for information from the public.
Detective Constable Rob Catterall said: “Burglary is a particularly distressing crime where victims are targeted in their own home, a place where they should feel safest.
“I would like to reassure residents that we are doing everything we can to establish the identities of those responsible and bring them to justice.
“A number of enquiries are ongoing and as part of our investigation, we would like to hear from anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident.
“We would also ask residents living in this part of Woolston to check any doorbell camera or CCTV footage they may have from around the time the burglary occurred.
“The same goes for anyone who may have relevant dashcam footage.”
