A LANDSCAPING firm welcomed two additional helping hands after securing the winning bid at Redrow’s annual charity ball.
Landstruction made a winning bid back in November for Redrow NW’s managing director Phil Reeves and construction director Ian Robertson to join them on site working at Alderbrook Manor in Grappenhall Heys.
The pair spent the day planting trees and shrubs, arranging landscape features and adding the finishing touches to flower beds at the Redrow developments show home gardens.
Overall, Redrow’s annual charity ball raised £85,000 for Claire House Children’s Hospice. The hospice helps seriously and terminally ill children and young adults to live life to the full by creating wonderful experiences and bringing back a sense of normality to family life. By providing specialist nursing and end of life care, as well as emotional support, Claire House helps families through some of the toughest times of their lives.
David Binks, managing director at Landstruction, said: “Claire House is an incredible charity, so supporting Redrow’s fundraising efforts was something we were really proud to be part of.
“Spending the day on site with Phil and Ian was a great experience, it gave us the chance to showcase the work our team delivers every day and to share the challenges and rewards of creating high-quality landscaping that enhances these new communities.”
Phil added: “We swapped our usual day for a day working alongside the team at Landstruction. It was a great experience and gave us a real appreciation for the effort that goes into delivering high-quality landscaping projects, whilst also raising such a great amount for the hospice.”
Once complete Alderbrook Manor, located south of Curzon Drive, will include 237 new homes across 30 acres of land with a range of three, four and five-bedroom bespoke designs based on the homebuilder’s Heritage Collection.
All will feature air source heat pumps to provide heating and hot water, reducing homeowners’ energy use, plus underfloor heating to the ground floors and EV charging points.
The development will also feature extensive areas of green open space, mature trees, two new play areas and footpaths to connect to local walking routes.
