A spectacular evening of celebration, community spirit and generosity marked the official grand opening of Bombay Heath in Stockton Heath, with more than 100 guests attending a special charity dinner in aid of St Rocco’s Hospice.

The event raised almost £2,500, with 100% of the donations being presented to St Rocco’s Hospice. In a remarkable gesture of generosity, Bombay Heath covered the full cost of all the food, ensuring that every donation made on the night went directly to support the hospice’s invaluable work.
Guests enjoyed a mouthwatering selection of authentic Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine, receiving outstanding praise throughout the evening. The celebrations were made even more memorable by lively entertainment from Don and Nikki of Fiera Naach, whose spectacular Bollywood dance performances delighted the audience and had guests thoroughly entertained.
The restaurant’s owner thanked everyone for their incredible support, saying that it was thanks to the encouragement of the local community that he had been able to open his second restaurant in Warrington. He highlighted the success of Bombay 8 in Gemini and reaffirmed the restaurant group’s commitment to giving back to the local community.
Partners Shamsul Islam and Abdul Basith also thanked everyone who attended the event for their generosity and support. They reaffirmed Bombay Heath’s commitment to supporting local charities and community initiatives, saying they looked forward to continuing to work with local organisations to make a positive difference across Warrington.
Bombay Heath has built a reputation for supporting local charities and community initiatives. During the devastating floods in Bewsey and Dallam, the restaurant provided more than 600 specially prepared gourmet meals to local residents affected by the flooding, demonstrating its commitment to helping those in need. The business continues to support numerous charitable causes across Warrington.
Councillor Mo Hussain, who has worked closely with the restaurant over many years on a wide range of community fundraising initiatives, praised the owners and staff for organising such a successful evening.

Cllr Hussain said:“This was a fantastic evening that brought people together for a wonderful cause. The generosity shown by Bombay Heath was outstanding, with every meal provided free of charge so that every penny donated could go directly to St Rocco’s Hospice. I have had the pleasure of working with the restaurant for many years in supporting local charities, and they have always stepped forward whenever the community has needed them. They truly deserve every success with their new restaurant.”
The Mayor of Warrington, Councillor Sageer Zaman, also attended the event and thanked the owners, partners, staff, entertainers and guests for their generosity and support of St Rocco’s Hospice.
He praised the community spirit shown throughout the evening and congratulated Bombay Heath on its investment in Warrington, wishing the business every success in its new venture.
The evening concluded with guests expressing their appreciation for the warm hospitality, exceptional food and entertainment, making the Grand Opening Charity Dinner a memorable celebration of community, compassion and giving.
