114 run defeat for Grappenhall

GRAPPENHALL went down by 114 runs at home to Oulton Park.

The visitors won the toss and batted first and hit 262-9 from 50 overs as the Grappenhall bowlers toiled in the sun. Stanley Pennington, Jason Batson and Zach Pomfret each picked up two wickets but it was a day for the batsmen.
After the break, Grappers’ opener William Fell hit a solid 55, but he received little support from the rest of the line-up, with Batson’s 25 the next highest score.
The side were all out for 148 in the 35th over, salvaging just five points from the match.
Grappenhall 2nd won by six wickets at Oakmere.

Winning the toss, they bowled out the home side for 211, Ross Arrowsmith and Saatvik Elaprolu each taking 3-20
Opener James Knowles hit a superb 122 to set Grappers on course for a winning 213-4, supported by Elaprolu who hit 30.
Grappenhall 3rd lost by five wickets, hosting Trafford Metrovics.
Manav Iver hit 85 not out in Grappenhall’s 185-9 and wicket keeper Denis Tallon hit 25. Pick of the bowlers was Ben Bravington with 3-32.
Warrington lost by three wickets after being bowled out for 157 at Barrow.
A Umar top-scored with 63 and M Wright took 3-43 but the team performance was not enough to trouble the home side.
Warrington 2nd won by 75 runs hosting Ashley, Aahil Altaf Syed top scoring with 66. Swarn Sandhu took 6-20.
Warrington 3rd lost by 71 runs at Neston and the 4th XI lost by nine wickets at home to Brooklands.
