Firefighters called out to tackle suspected arson at disused building

TWO fire crews were called out this afternoon (Wednesday) to reports of a fire at a disused building on Weaste Lane, Thelwall, Warrington.

At 15:06, fire crews from Stockton Heath and Lymm attended at the disused building on Weaste Lane

Firefighters used a hose reel and a water backpack to extinguish a fire on the balcony of the disused building. A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots throughout the premises.
This is believed to have been lit deliberately, and police have been informed.
