Three fire crews tackle car blaze on M6 near Thelwall viaduct

THREE fire crews responded to reports of a car on fire on the hard shoulder of the M6 near Thelwall Viaduct, Warrington.

At 10:25 am yesterday, Saturday, two fire engines from Lymm and Birchwood, plus a fire engine from Greater Manchester, attended reports of a car on fire on the M6 Southbound near J21.
One lane of the motorway was closed for a short time while they made the vehicle safe. There were no injuries.
