GOLDEN Square Shopping centre has announced the return of Drew’s Dirty Disco presents GS Pride, with this year’s event set to bring an even bigger celebration of community, creativity and self-expression to the heart of Warrington.

Running from 12 pm to 7 pm on Saturday, 13th June 2026, the free event will take over Golden Square Shopping Centre, with activity happening across the centre and a loud and proud party atmosphere in Old Market Square. Open to all ages, the celebration will welcome everyone who wants to celebrate Pride in a safe, inclusive and family-friendly environment.

This year’s event promises a full day of entertainment, community activity and celebration, with the Pride Parade passing through Golden Square and the mall brought to life with traders, performers, entertainment and interactive experiences throughout the day. At the centre of the celebrations will be Drew’s Dirty Disco, delivering the perfect Pride soundtrack, with Bear Glitz hosting the day and keeping the energy high from start to finish.
A major new addition for 2026 is the launch of the GS Drag Superstar competition, a brand-new platform celebrating local drag talent in a fun, accessible and family-friendly format. Designed to champion LGBTQ+ artistry and support emerging drag artists, the competition will see artists apply through an open-call audition process before selected finalists perform live on stage as part of GS Pride. The winner will be crowned Golden Square’s Drag Superstar and awarded a 30-minute performance slot at next year’s GS Pride event.
Golden Square is also calling on traders, activity hosts, community groups and organisations to be part of this year’s celebration. Alongside retail and entertainment, the event will feature an Information Support Hub, bringing together groups that can offer valuable support, resources and engaging activities for visitors. Golden Square is particularly keen to hear from organisations that can create interactive, family-friendly experiences that add something memorable to the day. Those wishing to apply should email goldensquare@gswarrington.com with details of what they would like to bring to the day. Spaces are limited and all submissions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
A performer call-out for the day’s wider entertainment line-up will be announced soon, inviting artists and acts to apply to be part of this year’s event.

Ian Cox, Centre Director at Golden Square, said: “This will be our fourth year celebrating Pride at Golden Square and each year it just gets bigger and better. We are proud to support our LGBTQ+ community by giving people a place to come together, enjoy themselves and celebrate safely in the heart of our town.”
Golden Square has long been at the forefront of events in Warrington, with GS Pride forming part of its continued commitment to creating inclusive, accessible experiences for the local community. As with previous years, GS aren’t going it alone, the event partners supporting GS Pride 2026 include United Utilities, Warrington BID and Fireheart Digital, with local organisations including TAGS and Warrington Youth Zone also involved in the celebration.
Golden Square has confirmed that visitor safety will remain a priority throughout the event, with security and support staff on hand to help ensure Pride is a safe space for everybody attending.
