A man and woman have been arrested following an incident at Bewsey, Warrington on Saturday evening, which resulted in a large police presence in the area.
Cheshire Police have today confirmed that around 6.40pm on Saturday, officers were called to reports of an assault in Haryngton Avenue in Bewsey and two people were detained at the scene.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
“A 30-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assault by beating.”
