THE St Helens and Warrington Oddfellows friendhsip group is encouraging residents across the area to wave goodbye to winter by meeting new people through its new season of social activities.
The Oddfellows friendship group has a variety of events planned throughout spring to help people connect and enjoy the brighter days.
Social Organiser Nicola said: “It can be hard to find others who share the same interests, but groups like ours give people the opportunity to do so. Often a simple walk or lunch can turn into a really enjoyable afternoon when you’re sharing it with others.”
St Helens and Warrington Oddfellows has around 300 local members, who are mostly older adults. They get together regularly in the area for meet ups in Earlestown Wetherspoons (Nine Arches) on a Friday afternoon as well as enjoying coffee mornings (various dates and venues) and day trips (central pick ups in both St Helens and Warrington).
Upcoming events organised by the friendship group this spring, to which all are welcome, include meet ups in Warrington three times in the month plus days trip to Chester on 16 April (limited availability) and on 28 May to Manchester’s Portland Basin Museum followed by drive-by highlights of Manchester with informative tour guide on board.
