After Lymm Ladies’ first team gained promotion into the North West Women’s Premier Division by winning Division 1 last season, this season was going to be a tough challenge, with the ladies pitting their wits against some of the biggest clubs in the north west.

As such, the game at Lymm on Sat 14th March, against Timperley Ladies 2s, was a perfect example of the grit and determination, combined with quality throughout the side, that has resulted in Lymm having an excellent season, consolidating their position in the highest division in the Northwest hockey pyramid.

It was a bright sunny spring day in Lymm, and the team flourished in the conditions, with goals from Anna Hollis, Izzy Robbins and Martha Henderson, together with a string of excellent saves from GK Amy Heywood and a storming performance down the flanks from MOM Maddie Troup.

An excellent 3-1 win sees Lymm move up to 6th place in the division, consolidating firmly into a top-half finish for the season. Job done!
