Residents and staff at Brookfield Care Home in Lymm came together to bring some kindness and gratitude to the staff at Warrington Hospital.
The residents had the idea that they wanted to say thank you to all the NHS workers who work so tirelessly for all their community.
Brookfield Care Home hosted arts & crafts sessions for the residents to make up some gift bags to hand out at the hospital throughout the day, including Thankyou pens and chocolate, writing pads and keyrings.
Staff at Brookfield care home commented on how lovely it was to see the joy on their faces as they made the gift bags.
Two of the residents who helps make the gifts Betty Fullard and Ann Williams were so happy to be able to hand deliver the bags to the staff within the hospital. Betty said at the time “its such a little thing to us, but it means so much to them and they really do deserve a thank you for all they do”
Sarah Nolan, General Manager at the home, said: “Staff here at Brookfield Care Home are dedicated to making sure that the home is a hub of the local community, and this event has brought so much joy to our residents and the staff who they meet at the hospital today”.
