Local workforce and residents offered free access and special discounts at new Daresbury Health Club

WARRINGTON workers and local residents are able to try the facilities for free at the new Daresbury Health Club, with special discounts for coffee lounge.

The health club at the newly-refurbished Daresbury Park Hotel will open in January, with local residents and businesses invited to try the facilities for free.

The major investment and refurbishment follows on from the Daresbury Park Hotel housing asylum seekers for over five years under a contract with the Home Office until the government ended its contract with the hotel last Spring, as part of a wider effort to reduce the use of hotels for asylum accommodation.

Throughout the first week of January, Warrington’s workforce and local community will be given complimentary access to the brand new health club, which comprises an indoor heated pool, steam room and spa pool plus a gym, squash court and fitness suite. Residents will also be offered 50% off all food and drink in the hotel’s new coffee lounge.
Local residents are invited to drop in at their leisure from 2nd to 4th January from 9am to 7pm, while those who work in the area can visit from 4-8pm on 6th and 7th January.
The new health club forms part of the multi-million pound refurbishment underway at Daresbury Park Hotel to transform it into a 4-star Elite Venue Selection hotel, with all 228 bedrooms and bathrooms fully remodelled and significantly upgraded with stylish new fixtures and furnishings.

The hotel’s bar and restaurant and its seven-suite conference facilities are also being stripped and renovated alongside the reception area, all communal spaces and the external grounds.
Daresbury Park Hotel will fully open in March 2026 and will form part of the Elite Venue Selection portfolio – a collection of 15 luxurious hotel experiences in premium locations. The portfolio has been meticulously curated following a series of acquisitions to provide distinctive destinations for weddings, corporate gatherings, spa breaks and golf retreats.
Located in the Cheshire borough of Halton, Daresbury Park Hotel is just three minutes from the M56 motorway and a short drive from Warrington Quay and Runcorn East train stations and Manchester Airport. The venue benefits from a 400-space car park and is pet-friendly.
