New drop-in community puzzle swap opens at Living Well Hub

A new drop-in puzzle swap, which has opened inside the Living Well Hub cafe reception area, is open to anyone and accessible during the hub’s usual opening hours.

The swaps rules are that people must donate a puzzle of their own first, contribute a £2 minimum donation, and then choose a puzzle to take home with them from the selection available. This helps keep the project sustainable and ensures longevity. The swap accepts cash payments, and phone payments via QR code.
Megan Hems, the Volunteer, Partnerships & Fundraising Coordinator at Activity Angels CIC says “Warrington residents can use the puzzle swap as many times as they wish, and continue to enjoy never ending entertainment all for an affordable price, and whilst helping a great local cause too.”
The puzzle swap has been set up to help raise funds back into Activity Angels CIC, a community organisation tackling loneliness in Warrington. The charity host a huge range of regular activity sessions locally, including a monthly Jigsaw morning inside the Living Well hub for over 18s to attend, with a goal to bring people together over a mindful and calm atmosphere puzzling either individually, or within a team to enjoy companionship, connection and conversation.
“During group we offer a maximum of 300 piece jigsaws, and enjoy mainly smaller count puzzles, just so that members can complete within our 2 hour session timeframe. However, our Puzzle Swap includes a much wider variety of jigsaw sizes, to suit everyone’s puzzling needs.”

The Living Well Hub is located centrally on Horsemarket street, within 5 minutes from the bus station/ train station, and is fully wheelchair accessible, with disabled badge parking just around the corner.
If you enjoy doing jigsaw puzzles, and would like to join Activity Angels to attend their upcoming activity sessions, you can view all the information you need here: www.activityangels.co.uk
The group are also always grateful for jigsaw puzzle donations to help sustain their ongoing projects, and are also currently seeking sponsorship for 2026 to help them continue to provide their impactful activity programmes locally.
