THE Friends of Culcheth Linear Park are celebrating after receiving a £1,174 from the Co-op Local Community Fund.
This is on top of the £500 received earlier this year and brings the total amount raised to a fantastic £1,674.
Alastair Baker, Chair of the Friends of Culcheth Linear Park, said:“The Co-op Local Community Fund works to promote healthy and strong communities with members having a say on where they would like to see the support given in order to make a difference in their local area.”
“We are so grateful to shoppers at the Culcheth branch of the Co-op for nominating Culcheth Linear Park and donating to the cause. We are able to invest contributions like these into the park to help continue its long term development.”
If you want to see how much this support helps us and the work we’re doing at Culcheth Linear Park – then why not join their next volunteer working party this Saturday 1st November at 9:30am at the Ranger Cabin.
