Land of Lights is officially open!

The Mayor of Warrington, Cllr Mo Hussain, has officially opened the spectacular Land of Lights festival which has returned for the third year running.

Thousands of people have already snapped up tickets for the highly anticipated festival, taking place at Gulliver’s World and featuring a brand-new theme and all new lanterns.
Mayor Hussain cut the ribbon on this year’s extravaganza at the special event declaring Land of Lights officially open to the public from now and on selected dates until January 2026.
Land of Lights 2025 promises to be a breathtaking spectacle, featuring an all-new collection of lanterns for 2025 covering multiple dreamworlds including an array of incredible dinosaurs. In addition, there will be music and street food.

Ross Partridge, Land of Lights festival manager, said: “What a wonderful opening weekend we have had!
“We’d like to thank Mayor Hussain for taking the time to visit our event and officially open it for us. It was lovely to see him and all the wonderful people who came along to get a first look at this incredible lantern festival.
“It’s back for its third year and is a wonderful boost to the local economy over the winter period and provides guests with an enjoyable, family friendly activity that is suitable for all so make sure you don’t miss out.”
