WARRINGTON-based CRIMPiT has been recognised as one of the 50 fastest-growing businesses in the North of England by the UK Fast Growth Index for 2025.
The achievement underlines the Winwick Quay company’s significant impact on its market and its capacity for growth and innovation.
While fast growth firms represent a small fraction of all companies, they contribute to a significant proportion of new jobs and prosperity in the UK economy every year. They are also often at the cutting edge in their respective industries, bringing innovative products, services, and processes to the market and, as a result, making a tremendous contribution to their sector.
All the firms on the list have been entered for the UK Fast Growth Awards being held in London on November 26 where the winners will be recognised as the fastest growing in their sectors and their regions.
Mike Harper, founder of CRIMPiT, said: “2025 has been one of the most exciting years in our journey so far. We’ve expanded our product range and also gone global.
“This is all still managed from our HQ here in Warrington, so we’re delighted to be recognised as one of the region’s fastest growing companies. Our products are proving enduringly popular and with lots of brilliant partnerships with other food innovators, we will keep building on this popularity – both locally and globally.”
Professor Dylan Jones-Evans, founder of the UK Fast Growth Index said: “The UK Fast Growth Index demonstrates how a small number of fast-growing firms such as CRIMPiT can make a substantial contribution to the UK’s economic landscape, providing real examples of how innovation, enterprise and sheer hard work can make a real difference in all sectors from construction to financial services to technology.
“This small group of businesses that grow quickly continue to play a significant role in driving economic growth. They create jobs and contribute to the economic development of the communities in which they are based. “
