A wheelie bin was set on fire at a skatepark in Culcheth, Warrington, last night, Friday.
Shortly before 8 pm one crew from Birchwood was called out to reports of a fire on a skatepark off Shaw Street, Culcheth, involving a wheelie bin. A hose reel, water jet and water backpack were used to extinguish the fire.
In another incident last night at 23:19 one crew from Lymm was called out to reports of a skip fire on Crouchley Lane, Lymm.
Crews used a hose reel water jet to dampen down a quantity of smouldering sawdust in a skip. It is believed the fire was caused accidentally by a discarded cigarette.
