Police seek witnesses after teenage pedestrian struck by car

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a collision involving a car and a teenage pedestrian in Stockton Heath.

Sometime between 12.30 am and 1 am on Sunday, 29 June, a car was driving along London Road towards Warrington when it went onto the pavement colliding with a 19-year-old man outside the Bavette Steakhouse.
The car then carried on along London Road. The pedestrian was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries.

PC Michael McAufield said: “I’m keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the collision or may have dashcam that will assist in the investigation.”
As part of enquiries into the incident, a 43-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop and failing to co-operate with a preliminary test.
