WARRINGTON and District Model Engineering Society will be offering train rides at this year’s Cheshire Steam Fair, which takes place on Saturday and Sunday July 12 and 13.
Some of the finest model steam engines – including models of the Flying Scotsman and the Duchess of Abercorn – will be hauling the trains, as well as many more model steam and diesel locomotives.
Rides start from 10am on both days – and the train station is located in the top left of the show field and will be signposted.
But be aware that the train rides provided by the society are a “pay as you ride” attraction and the fee is separate from the entrance fee to gain admission to the steam fair.
The Cheshire Steam Fair will take place at Daresbury, near Warrington.
Warrington and District Model Engineering Society is always looking for new members.
The society has a new website at https://www.wdmes.org.uk?trainrides/app/ which gives details of when the society is running train rides.
