A 35-year-old Warrington man has been charged following a robbery involving an aggravated vehicle-taking incident on Marsh House Lane when two police officers were assaulted.
Michael Waring from Bewsey Street in Warrington was charged with robbery, possession of a Class B Drug (Cannabis resin), driving without insurance, assault of an emergency worker, possession of a knife in a public place, assault and aggravated vehicle taking.
The charges relate to an incident in Marsh House Lane in Warrington on 26 May shortly before midnight where a man was threatened, and a car was stolen. Two officers were also assaulted during the arrest.
Waring appeared at Warrington Magistrates on 27 May and was remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on 24 June.
