A SPECIAL evening of brass band music will be staged in Warrington on Saturday, June 21 – with a return visit by the famous 2nd Rossendale Scout Group Band.
Stockton Heath Music Society’s season of concerts has finished for the summer, but they have extended their p;rogramme to welcome back the Rossendale band, who were a huge success last year.
The concert will be at St Thomas’ Church Hall, in Ellesmere Road, Stockton Heath at 7.30pm on June 21.
The 2nd Rossendale Scout Group Band was formed in 1963 and the senior band performs regularly across the North of England and in recent times has performed with Fodens, Grimethorpe Colliery and Brighouse and Rastrick Bands and most recently with the current national champions, the Black Dyke Band. They have appeared at Windsor Castle for HM Queen Elizabeth and at many fine concert venues including the Bridgewater Hall, The Royal Northern College of Music, The O2 Arena, and Cologne Cathedral.
The band will be playing a wide range of music, from traditional brass band favourites through original works and musical theatre. The concert will have something for everyone!
