DUNKY’S Day Nursery in Warrington is celebrating a decade of care – and staff, children and families came together to mark the nursery’s 10th birthday.

Set in a historic building that once served as a popular public house and hotel, the nursery has spent the last decade transforming into a warm, nurturing, and modern environment for early years education.
Nursery Manager Tracy Towns said: “It’s hard to believe 10 years have flown by. We want to say a huge thank you to our dedicated staff, our supportive families, and most of all, to our wonderful children who bring joy to our nursery every single day.
“The anniversary party was a chance to really appreciate and reflect on the families and children we have worked with over the years.
“We look forward to continuing our journey with the same passion, care, and commitment that has brought us here.”

The 55-place nursery on Old Liverpool Road, Warrington offers a spacious Babyroom, a vibrant Toddler Room with direct outdoor access, and a well-equipped Pre-school Room. Children also benefit from a large, nature-rich garden where they can explore the world around them.
Dunky’s Day Nursery was praised in a recent Ofsted report which highlighted its warm and welcoming environment, effective leadership and management and well thought through curriculum supporting children’s growth and development.

The nursery, which caters for children from 0 to 5, is one of seven award-winning day nurseries and forest schools in the Dunky’s group. The company was established by Siobhan McCarroll after a career in childcare. She opened her first nursery in the North West in 2005.
Over the years, she has grown Dunky’s to a group of nurseries in Culcheth, Farnworth, Great Sankey, Hapsford, Runcorn, Warrington and Gulliver’s World.
All the nurseries have gained either “Outstanding” or “Good” in Ofsted inspections.
