Asylum Club Night, Warrington’s home for all things alternative, is celebrating its 4th birthday this July with its biggest month to date.
Live Bands, its first ever daytime event “Dammit!”, and in big news, two of its resident DJs hitting the decks at Slam Dunk Music Festival in Leeds.
4th Birthday Bash – Friday 25th July
Launched in July 2021, Asylum has become the alternative night in Warrington, bringing Rock, Metal, Emo, and Pop Punk anthems to the town’s community. To mark four years of chaos, dancing, and eyeliner, Asylum is going all out.
For the first time since 2023, live music returns, featuring an intimate triple-header of the North West’s most exciting bands:
- DEKAYTAH (IG: @Dekaytah_Band) – Returning to where it all began, now fresh off sold-out shows at Manchester Academy 3.
- CUT SHORT (@CutShortUK) – Liverpool’s heaviest hitters, finally landing in Warrington after years of trying to book them.
- DACARA (@DacaraUK) – Metal to the Masses finalists and Download Festival 2025 performers, with deep local ties.

On Saturday 19th July, Asylum launches “Dammit!”, a free-entry daytime alternative party designed for those who still love the scene – just not staying out late.
Making full use of the large beer garden at Asylum’s brand new venue for 2025, Postern Gate, almost 170 tickets have been claimed ahead of time!
Expect:
- Outdoor vibes, seating, and sun-soaked throwbacks (fingers-crossed)
- DJ sets from Kirsty, Lee and friends playing all the Kerrang TV & Scuzz-era classics
- Drink deals on cocktails, mocktails, and beer buckets

Asylum DJs Play Slam Dunk 2025 – Sun 25th May
A massive shout to resident DJs Kirsty McMurdo and Skylar Kinsey, who’ll be representing Asylum in the VIP Area at Slam Dunk Festival 2025 this Sunday as part of the She They Press Play showcase.
Asylum continues to prove that even from a small town, it can stand toe-to-toe with the UK’s biggest alt nights.
WIth Asylum events taking place across three towns & cities (Stockport & Leigh) and special guests including You Me At Six, Funeral For A Friend & Sean Smith (The Blackout), the team have been putting on events that rival those in some of the biggest cities.
Yet, to be personally invited to be a part of a showcase that includes peers who regularly perform at massive venues and Festivals across the country, shows that Asylum is a respected name in the U.K Alternative scene and is one of their very biggest opportunities yet.
