Council opens pet crematorium at Walton Lea

WARRINGTON Borough Council has opened a pet crematorium at a “beautiful” woodland and cottage dedicated to cherished pets within the grounds of Walton Lea Crematorium.

Woodlands Cottage is an addition to Walton Lea crematorium where, in a peaceful and comforting setting, people can remember their pets and say final goodbyes.

If you choose to have your pet cremated, the Woodlands Cottage team will support you with compassion, care and the utmost respect throughout the process. Families are also able to book pet cremations and take them home the same day.
The Lodge at Walton Crematorium – a beautiful Farewell Room, is available for people to sit, reflect, remember and say final goodbyes.
Bluebell Wood, a beautiful and scenic woodland setting for the laying to rest of your beloved pet, is also available.
People can choose from a variety of memorial options to help cherish their pet’s memory at home. These include personalised jewellery, wooden and cast resin urns designed to resemble your pet, as well as a wall-hanging memorial featuring a solid wood photo frame with a discreet ashes casket.
You can find out more about the range of memorials available from the Woodlands Cottage website.
