LATCHFORD Albion Giants’ superb season continued with a fine 36-6 win at previously unbeaten Ashton Bears.
The visitors started well and raced into a 0-12 lead within the first 10 minutes with Jack Harvey and Dave Manfredi crossing and Manfredi adding both conversions.
Harrison Turner soon scored Albion’s third try and ,Manfredi again added the extras.
The hosts did hit back with a converted try but at the break Albion held a comfortable 6-16 lead.
Any thoughts of an Ashton comeback were soon extinguished when Riley Cole scored shortly after the restart and further tries were added by Theo Gabbott and River Cole, with Manfredi keeping his perfect kicking record intact and Albion coming away with another comprehensive victory
The win extended Albion’s unbeaten run and also their lead at the top of the table.
