WARRINGTON Wolves’ flying winger Matty Ashton has suffered Wembley heartbreak after being ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a double injury blow in the victory over Leigh at the weekend.
Warrington Wolves have today confirmed that Ashton sustained injuries to his MCL (Medial Collateral Ligament) and ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) which unfortunately rules out the winger out for the remainder of the 2025 season.
Matty suffered the injuries during the Challenge Cup semi-final win over Leigh Leopards on Sunday.
The Club is fully behind Matty and will support him every step of the way with his recovery.
The prolific try scorer has scored 95 tries in 107 appearances since joining the Wire in the 2020 season from Swinton.
