An Orford man was found with 13 kilos of cocaine in the back of a car a court heard.

Keith Sherwood appeared at Liverpool Crown Court for sentence today (Tue) but this was postponed to enable more information about the drugs to be provided by the police.
Sherwood was stopped by police by Tarbock Island as he was heading east along the M62 on April 17 this year.
Derek Jones, prosecuting, said that the drugs, wrapped in brown paper, were found in the rear footwell and Sherwood was arrested. “He would appear to be a courier,” he added.
David Birrell, defending, said that in interview the defendant suggested he had been under pressure. “The police accepted what he was saying and have since taken steps to protect his family.”
Sherwood has pleaded guilty to possessing Class A drugs, cocaine, with intent to supply.
Judge Catherine Pierpoint adjourned sentence until May 30 and Mr Birrell said that a basis of plea would be produced for that hearing. Sherwood was further remanded in custody.
