FIREFIGHTERS were called out on Saturday afternoon following reports of a fire in a skatepark at Victoria Park, Warrington.
At 16:08, one crew from Warrington attended at the park off Knutsford Road.
Crews used a hose reel water jet to extinguish a fire covering around 10 square metres of grass. The fire is believed to have been started by a group of young people who were spoken to by police.
Earlier in the day at 13:53 a crew used a backpack extinguisher to put out an unattended disposable barbecue in the park.
