Firefighters tackle building fire involving cardboard on balcony

TWO fire crews were called out to reports of a building on fire on Ulverston Avenue, Orford, Warrington.

At 16:08 yesterday, Saturday, crews from Warrington and Penketh attended at the scene. The fire involved cardboard on the balcony of a first floor property.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to put the fire out and then a large fan was used to clear smoke.

In another incident at 16:25 one crew from Lymm was called to put out a fire involving a hedgerow that had been set deliberately in Victoria Park. They used one hose reel to put out the fire.
