Warrington celebrated their return with another victory

WARRINGTON celebrated their return to the Cheshire County League with another victory – this time against Over Peover.

The village side batted first and were dismissed for 145, A Ali taking 3-25.
Ashley Scholes hit 52 not out as Warrington replied with 146-5 and Ali again showed his form with a well-struck 32.
Grappenhall lost by six wickets against Macclesfield. Ross Arrowsmith, 35 and Daniel Adkins, 32 were the main contributors to their all-out total of 164.
But Macclesfield coasted to victory with 165-4. Arran McCabe took 2-33 and Zak Judge and Zach Tully picked up a wicket each.
Grappenhall 2nd also lost against Macclesfield – bowled out for 115 and then taking only three wickets as Macclesfield hit 116.
In the Cheshire League, Lymm Oughtrington Park picked up an eight run victory at Barnton.
Kishan Megharaj took 5-30 and Anthony Spaven 3-32 as the home side were dismissed for 152.
Lymm reached their target with eight wickets down, with Zia Moinuddin hitting 35, Reuben Roberts 28 and Harry Carter 30 not out.
Appleton lost at Trafford Metrovics, hitting 143-7 in reply to the home sides 152. Appleton 2nd won by 10 wickets at Westminster Park after dismissing the home wide for 60. Phil Jackson hit 38 not out and Luke Ranna 24 not out.
Michael Cumberland took 6-19.
Glazebury were all out for 81 at Winsford, Anthony Meulman top-scoring with 32.
But the home side reached their target with three wickets down.
